Description
Tartaletas de mazapán are delightful almond flour tartlets filled with fruit preserves, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 large egg white
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup fruit preserves (apricot or raspberry)
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or tartlet pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, powdered sugar, salt, almond extract, and egg white. Mix until a dough forms.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour to the dough, mixing until well combined. The dough should be slightly sticky but manageable.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Press each portion into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared muffin tin or tartlet pan to form a crust.
- Spoon a small amount of fruit preserves into each crust, filling them about halfway.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the preserves in each tartlet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the dough for a chocolate almond flavor.
- Experiment with different fruit preserves like strawberry or lemon curd for a unique taste in each tartlet.
