Description

A delicious Churro Tart filled with creamy cinnamon goodness, perfect for dessert lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream)
  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe the dough into the tart pan, creating a spiral pattern from the center outward.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  7. While the tart cools, prepare the cinnamon cream. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  8. Gently fold in ground cinnamon into the whipped cream.
  9. Once the tart is cool, fill the center with the cinnamon cream. Drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired.
  10. Slice and serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving for a chilled treat.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon cream.
  • You can also substitute the chocolate sauce with caramel sauce for a different twist.
  • For a festive touch, sprinkle crushed nuts or toffee bits on top of the cream before serving.
