Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup water
- 4 ounces dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

- Once heated through, remove from the heat and let it sit for a minute to thicken slightly.
- Serve hot in mugs, topped with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a combination of dark and milk chocolate.
- Add a splash of espresso or strong coffee for a mocha twist.
